Short Answer : Red = good/beginner, Yellow = fitter/better, Green = machine!

The bib structure

Everybody at Army Boot Camp Fitness picks or gets put into a fitness group according to ability. This is so we can section classes and make each class the right level for the participants (that’s you!).

By the way, no matter what your standard on your first class, you will always start in the red group. If you turn out to be mega fit, you’ll be uprated during the class and given more demanding exercises and higher reps.

Without further ado, here’s the typical standards according to bib colour.

Red Bib : Entry level fitness

At this level, you can probably run a quarter of a mile, sprint a little, do a couple of sit ups and maybe even a press up – Check you out!!

We will start working on improving your upper body strength, core and improve your distance capability.

Reds? Yes. Slackers? No.

Yellow Bib : Mid range fitness

At this level, you’re not too shabby at all. You can bang out sit ups and press ups allright. You could run about three miles or five at a pinch. We’d aim to improve your core muscle groups and make you more sturdy, improving your breathing, resistance and endurance.

Yellows.. dedicated

Green Bib : High octane / max power

At this level, you are a machine. You have to be MOT’d every year and you pass every time. You can do a 10k in around the 40 minute marker or a half marathon in under 90 minutes. You can do about 70 sit ups in a minute and around the 50 marker for press-ups. Bullets bounce off you and you use your abs as a stand in for a xylophone.

Green bibs - Ninjas, all of 'em

We’d aim to work you into the ground, no messing about as you can’t be sitting on your laurels, now can you??
