Welcome to
Army Boot Camp Fitness
|
|
|
Off to the gym again? It's one of the best kept secrets in the fitness
industry, but going to the gym is dull - and that's a motivation killer!
You'll do more work and get fitter, faster with a group than working on your
own in a gym.
Oh yeah, and you get to meet like minded people who are keen, fit and very
friendly and that's just the staff!
Clips
|
|
Recently some of our fave staff, namely Dean, Mo and biker Jim, took these elimination training sessions down at BBC White City for
the BBC 3 programme "Last Woman Standing".
|
As you can see, Boot Camp isn't for slackers, but you don't need to be a machine
either.
A positive mental attitude, team spirit and a commitment to hard
graft is what's needed to get you through, but you'll feel
superb after every session.
The Classes
|
|

Army Boot Camp Fitness is a structured and
fitness graded 60
minute class for people who want to build and maintain their fitness.
The majority of classes start at 7pm weekdays and 10 am at weekends - see the
timetable
section for more info.
If you're tired of the smell of the gym, the unsociable members and the
'nobody talks to me' culture then come along to your local
park for an
exciting new kind of health and fitness experience.
We have a superb team and personal fitness training environment for all
levels of fitness every day in the parks of London, so start today!
How to get started
|
|
First things first. Health and Safety.
Fill in the
online application form which will take about, umm... 3 minutes.
If you are generally fit and well, we take you for your first class
for
free, with no obligation to join whatsoever.
Remember to turn up 15 minutes early before your first class.
The class is split according to ability so you
will always be with people who have the same fitness level as you, so please,
don't worry about being at the back of the class; you can't ALL be there!
Check out the Join
section for full details on getting involved. You can also read
this article
for more information on how the groups are separated out by fitness level or why
not click
here to see the full joining process in a flowchart.

You will need to fill out some forms and so on all of which are in the
Join section
of this site.
Come on your own, or bring friends - either way, we know you'll have a great
time and be made to feel really welcome.
Clothing
|
|

You should wear comfortable loose fitting clothing such as t-shirts, shorts
or jogging bottoms depending on the weather.
Don't buy expensive clothes either as you'll be running around in the park
getting you clothes dirty, so don't get your kit from Harrods, whatever you do!
As for trainers or running shoes, we find that people show up in their old
trainers they use for painting and they will do for a while.
It's only after a couple of lessons that you realise that you will need
better shoes with proper impact protection to help stabilise and support your
foot.
Run and Become is
an excellent specialist shop and a good pair of trainers can be had for about
£70.
Decathlon also stock
clothing and trainers which are budget but fully functional and very good
quality. |
